01 The position
Most software dies between the deck and the launch. Agencies hand off, freelancers disappear, momentum leaks away in meetings. I work differently — one senior engineer who architects, designs, builds and ships the whole thing, and stays until it earns. Every product is a bet. I shorten the odds.

02 The story
March 2023. Incompass Labs had a peer-assessment algorithm born at Wharton, a thesis about how teams should really be measured — and no product. I joined as one of the first engineers and opened an empty repository.
No legacy code, no safety net. Just an idea that had to become software people would trust with their organizations.
Architecture first: a data-intensive React + TypeScript platform on Firebase and Google Cloud, built to carry serious HR analytics without buckling. Then the parts most teams outsource or avoid — self-service integrations with Workday and BambooHR, enterprise SSO with SAML and Okta, Stripe billing, Slack apps, webhooks.
And the frontier: an MCP server and a RAG-powered knowledge engine with semantic search, turning thousands of feedback signals into answers leaders can actually act on.
That empty repo is now a platform with 8,000+ active users, backed by $2M from angel investors. On the side: a gallery-delivery tool for photographers that got acquired, an AI shopping app live on the App Store, an open-source npm package, an AI data-visualization API.
The pattern repeats: idea in, shipped product out. Yours could be next.
